These games are really growing on me!

The Grab & Go line of games from Hasbro are smaller versions of classic games, such as Monopoly, Sorry!, Connect 4, and so on. These games are travel-sized and seem intended to be taken anywhere.

What Are The Hasbro Grab & Go Games For?

I basically already gave this away, but Hasbro’s Grab & Go games are intended for people to use when traveling. They’re designed to be smaller versions that can be played in way more places than their regular counterparts.

Can I Only Use These Games For Travel?

Not at all. You could use them at a regular game night when heading to a friend’s house, or even as little desk ornaments you could play whenever the right time strikes.

They are definitely designed for travel, but sometimes the word travel leads us to believe we should only use travel-sized items when going far away. That’s not true though for any travel-sized item, including these games.

Let’s say you’re heading an hour away for a little getaway time. You could take one of these games with you if you happen to have downtime while at the hotel.

Or maybe you own some land you visit every now and then (I once had a friend whose dad had some land like this). While you can definitely take your regular-sized games there, those games can take up a lot of space and will be more at risk of damage if you don’t have a building with controlled conditions as typical homes do. For reference, my friend’s dad’s land only had an old barn for us to use.

What I’m saying is, however, you want to use these games is up to you. If you want more premium versions of the games, then definitely get the regular versions, but the Grab & Go games more than hold their own.

Did You Know?

(Each time you refresh the page you will get a new “Did You Know” fact!)

Did you know that Ludo is also the name of a game? That’s why Cluedo was renamed in the US! Not as many people knew of the game, Ludo, in the US as they did in the UK, so it was felt they wouldn’t understand why the game was called Cluedo.

Something else that’s cool is that in Brazil Clue was, or maybe still is, called Detetive. And no, that’s not a misspelling either. Really cool!

Conclusion

So, that’s what the Grab & Go games are all about. Finding yourself interested in them or turned off? Let me know your thoughts and why in the comments below!

And, as always, keep on gaming, fellow board gamers.
