Product Description

Chronicles of Crime is a cooperative game of crime investigation. Using San & Play technology to mix digital and board games, it allows for many crime investigation stories to be told with the same components. Interrogate the suspects, collect evidence, and arrest the murderer before you run out of time! The VR experience only requires a mobile phone. Players simply put the VR glasses onto their mobile device, and put the VR glasses on their nose, holding their mobile device in front of their eyes, to immerse themselves in the game's universe and search for clues in a virtual world.

Game Objectives You and your team will be put on crime cases, moving all around town, interviewing suspects or witnesses, and searching for clues in 3D scenes! Set in the L.A. Noir universe, unorthodox methods like bribing, breaking in, intimidating and spying will be your tools. Be careful about what you do! Anything can happen. Join your friends in the 1980's to solve a mystery, before curfew! Players can enter a whole new era of crime-solving games by taking on the criminals of medieval Paris. Collect evidence, interrogate suspects, and crack cases. Solve escape-room-style puzzles incorporated into each story.       I didn’t buy the glasses at first but ordered them later. You can play the game without, but these glasses are also a magnifier so it is easier to see some items. I like them and now play with them all the time.
      It comes with and extra episode case as a QR code on a card, but I do not know how to activate it. I tried with a regular QR scanner and also from within the game, but no luck yet. It would be helpful to have some instruction either included or on the LuckyDuck website.

      I was excited for this item to enhance viewing the “crime scenes” within the app. Unfortunately, the 3d view (for me) was like looking through an unfocused camera lens. I don’t wear glasses, so I don’t think it’s a prescription issue, but I don’t know for sure. I am bummed, though, because I was looking forward to an enhanced experience with this fun game.

      We're fans of the CoC game and decided upon buying this accessory mainly to access the exclusive scenario which is obtained via scanning a VR code. However, we tried scanning the 2 codes provided, (one on the box and one on a card inside) and NEITHER directed you to the scenario. We even tried using 4 different scanning apps and each time you were directed to completely irrelevant sites and not the desired game scenario. Sadly, there is no customer service information provided in the package to solve this problem.
      Also, the glasses were small and clamp onto a cell phone rather than on a tablet, making it more suitable for personal rather than multi-player use (i.e. it is cumbersome and easily gets knocked off).
      So in our opinion, you're better off putting the money towards one of the available expansion packs for the base game instead.

      I tried this on my iPhone while playing Chronicles of Crime. It’s just okay. It adds a little bit of 3D depth to the experience, but not enough to make it worth the hassle of trying to get it in the right spot. I found it was more of an impediment than a help and so I don’t really use it.
